The Alligator Lake Trail winds around the lake and passes through the natural habitat of wildlife of a delta hardwood forest.
Bear Creek Nature Trail
This trail begins in the picnic area beyond the swimming pool. It follows along Bear Creek, crossing streams and small springs. It shares space with Chickasaw Disc Golf Course so be cognizant of flying objects. The trail ends at the Pioneer Cabin area.
Clark Creek Primitive Trail
Enjoy this 4.9-mile loop trail near Woodville, Mississippi. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Lake Lowndes Equestrian Trail
Seven miles of equestrian trails are available for horse lovers. The trail covers creek crossings and hilly terrain. A parking area is located at the start of the trail. You must bring your own horse and show proof of the Negative Coggins before riding the trail.

Opossum Nature Trail
After stuffing yourself at a picnic, you can walk off the calories along a scenic nature trail. Hike rocky ridges or smell the flowers along shaded forest paths. Lake Lowndes offers a variety of trails to accommodate everyone from the recreational walker to those training for the marathon. The Opossum Nature Trail is covered in different species of plants and trees, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. A 3.5 mile nature trail winds through the backside of the park, providing a close look at native birds, plants and wildlife.
Pirate's Alley Nature Trail
"Pirate's Alley Nature Trail" Over 12,000 trees and varying vegetation was destroyed due to the high winds and tidal surge of Hurricane Katrina. Now, nearly seven years of new growth has changed the landscape of the trail, but still provides an excellent opportunity for guest to see nature in its most natural setting. This 1.8 mile, self-guided trail, encompasses many species of Oaks, Magnolia, Pines and a variety of indigenous plants and animals of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A pier with a gazebo extends over Mud Bayou's canal.
Wall Doxey Nature Trail
A two and half mile nature trail winds around Spring Lake, affording beautiful views of the water and of native Mississippi flora and fauna.
