Fishing Report - Updated 5/20/24
Species | Detail |
---|---|
Bass | Bass fishing is slow to fair, as fish are in a post spawn pattern. Anglers are targeting points and cover with Texas-rigged/shakeyhead plastics and soft jerkbaits. Some good topwater action can be had early in the morning or late in the evening around shallow cover. Try small buzzbaits and frogs for that bite. |
Crappie | The crappie fishing is fair. Black and chartreuse jigs and/or minnows will both produce some bites. |
Bream | Bream fishing has begun to pick up a little. Crickets and worms tightlined on the bottom are working as well as anything, but don't overlook small spinners as the bite improves. |
Catfish | The catfish bite is slow. Target drop-offs and deeper shoreline cover like laydowns with tight lined liver and/or night crawlers. |
